FL Technics Indonesia is making aviation strides with the construction of its aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility at Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Martynas Grigas, FL Technics Indonesia’s CEO, led the groundbreaking ceremony, marking the start of MRO operations in two of the airport’s main hangars, with each fitting one narrow-bodied aircraft. The facility is expected to finish construction by July 2024 and aims to simultaneously service up to 6 narrow-bodied aircraft, greatly enhancing the airport’s MRO capabilities.

“Our commitment extends beyond creating an aviation industry hub; it also embraces Bali’s duality as a leisure destination and a pivotal aircraft maintenance center. Denpasar’s robust connectivity renders it an essential stop. FL Technics Indonesia ensures services that align with FAA and EASA standards, fostering a safe and dependable aviation ecosystem,” said Martynas.

Faik Fahmi, the Director of Angkasa Pura I, then added, “The start of construction of MRO facilities at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport marks a very significant milestone in the development of the company’s business portfolio. With the capabilities, network, and expertise of APP and FL Technics Indonesia, we are optimistic that this collaboration will provide a very positive multiplier effect to operational performance and services at AP1 in particular, as well as to the aviation ecosystem in Indonesia in a broader scope.”

In addition, Ristiyanto Eko Wibowo, Director of Angkasa Pura Properti, emphasizes that the KSO is meant to support the airport service facilities of AP1 as its parent company.

As much as FL Technics Indonesia is thankful for the strong support it has received from its regulators and business partners, they’re excited to contribute to the global growth of the aviation and tourism sectors. It seems the sky’s the limit for FL Technics Indonesia!
